Biography

Carlee Joe-Wong is a Professor in the Department of Electrical Computer Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University. She received her Ph.D. from Princeton University's Program in Applied Computational Mathematics in 2016, where she was honored as a Jacobus Centennial Fellow. Her primary research interests focus on the mathematical economic aspects of computer information networks. Carlee obtained her A.B. in Mathematics in 2011 and her M.A. in Applied Mathematics in 2013 from Princeton University. During 2013-2014, she served as the Director of Advanced Research at DataMi, a startup she co-founded to explore data pricing research. Carlee has been recognized with several awards, including the INFORMS ISS Design Science Award in 2014 for her work on smart data pricing and the Paper Award at IEEE INFOCOM in 2012 for her contributions to fair multi-resource allocation. She was also a National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate Fellow (NDSEG) from 2011 to 2013.
