Biography

Carli Ochs is a Senior Research Teaching Associate in the Department of Communication and Media Research at the University of Zurich. Her research focuses on how technology shapes and affects social interactions, loneliness, and well-being. She is an integral member of the Media Use & Effects team at the IKMZ, where she has participated in various research initiatives since joining in September 2025. Carli received a Postdoctoral Mobility Grant from the Swiss National Science Foundation, which enabled her to conduct research at the Happy Tech Lab at Georgetown University. She holds a PhD in Psychology from the University of Fribourg.
