Professor Dr. Carlos Greaves

Biography

Born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, Carlos Greaves is an Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor at Stanford University in the Department of Psychiatry. He completed his medical education at the University Central De Venezuela in 1969 and underwent his internship at Hospital Universitario, Venezuela, in 1970. His residency training in Psychiatry was undertaken at Stanford Medical School, culminating in board certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in 1987. Greaves has extensive experience in community mental health, having worked in Maui, Hawaii, for four years, and at the Veterans Administration in Palo Alto for three years. Currently, he operates a private practice as a consulting psychiatrist at the Vaden Student Health Center at Stanford. His clinical focus lies primarily in psychiatry, with a commitment to educating future practitioners in this field.
