Biography

Carly Sheehan is a full-time Lecturer specializing in Painting and Drawing at the University of Washington. She has recently relocated from the East Coast to Seattle to join the faculty in Fall 2023. Her work has been exhibited in various prestigious venues, including North Loop in the West, LA and Specialist Gallery in Seattle, as well as participating in Triangle Projects, LA. Additionally, she attended the Surf Point Residency in New York in 2025. Carly has previously taught at the University of New Haven and the Yale School of Art, focusing on critical theory, gender, drawing, and abstraction in her scholarly pursuits.
