Biography

Carmen Dell is a Registered Nurse (RN) with a diverse range of nursing experience. She began her nursing career in Meadow Lake, SK, working in the hospital across Medicine, Surgery, Emergency, and Labour Delivery departments. Carmen moved to Saskatoon to pursue her master’s degree focusing on forensic mental health and has worked casually with Correctional Services Canada at the Regional Psychiatric Centre. Currently, she strives to maintain her frontline practice experience at St. Paul’s hospital. Carmen's Master’s Thesis is entitled 'The Experience of Participants in the Saskatoon Mental Health Strategy Court.' Her work brings a person-centered perspective to specialty court initiatives and partners with local health and social services to stabilize the health and wellbeing of individuals living with mental health conditions. Her methodological approach is qualitative.
