Biography

Carmen D. Sarita-Reyes, MD, is a Clinical Associate Professor at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. She has extensive expertise in pediatric and developmental placental pathology. Throughout her career, she has contributed significantly as a facilitator and advisor for fourth-year medical students. She has held leadership roles including Director of the fourth-year elective in Pathology Laboratory Medicine and Director of the Pathology Laboratory Fellowship. Additionally, she served as the Pathology Director for the BUSM Curriculum Committee from 2012 to 2019. Dr. Sarita-Reyes has also co-directed various pathology courses for graduate students at the Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. A dedicated mentor, she has advised numerous medical students and residents in anatomic clinical pathology, guiding their thesis projects and professional development.
