Biography

Carmi Parker is a Collection Services librarian at Whatcom County Library System. She serves on the Executive Committee of the Washington Digital Library Consortium, which partners with 45 public libraries to provide digital books to 830,000 residents across Washington State. In 2021, she was honored as a Mover & Shaker by Library Journal and appointed as a guest faculty member at the University of Washington Information School. Before her career in library science, Parker worked for 13 years as a project manager at Microsoft. She holds a Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, obtained in 2015, and a Master's degree in Composition Rhetoric from 1995.
