Carol Bullin joined the University of Saskatchewan (USask) College of Nursing as a tenure-track Assistant Professor in 2011. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in 1997, a Master of Continuing Education (MCEd) in 2004, and her PhD in 2014, all from USask. Her dissertation focused on the perceived doctoral preparation that supports the roles of nurse educators. Bullin has a diverse clinical nursing background across the USA and Canada, which includes critical care, perioperative care, as well as acute surgical and medical care, and mental health. Her research is primarily centered on chronic disease management, particularly chronic kidney disease among Indigenous populations. She has been involved in several CIHR-funded projects, including those aimed at creating culturally-appropriate educational tools for Indigenous peoples to help them make informed decisions regarding kidney treatments. In addition to her research, Carol teaches undergraduate nursing courses and selected Master of Nursing courses, including a new pre-professional course, "NURS 120 Human Anatomy Nursing," delivered online.
