Biography

Carol Lynn Dorfman is an Associate Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at the Yale School of Medicine. She completed her undergraduate studies with a B.A. in Biology from Williams College in Massachusetts, followed by medical school at Stanford University. After completing her pediatric residency at the University of California, San Diego, she began her clinical practice in the New Haven area in 1992, where she has been significantly involved in supervising Yale residents and medical students at the Pediatric Primary Care Center and Hospital of St. Raphael. In 2017, Dr. Dorfman joined the Section of General Pediatrics at Yale, focusing on primary care and asthma management. She also works in the Pediatric Dermatology clinic and supervises bilingual child care groups. Aside from her clinical responsibilities, she is dedicated to teaching clinical skills to medical students and residents. Dr. Dorfman was earlier an Assistant Clinical Professor at Quinnipiac University's Frank Netter School of Medicine. Her contributions include various leadership roles within departmental committees and she has been recognized on the Faculty Honor Roll at Yale School of Medicine.
