Biography

Marie Carole Boucher is an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Montreal's Department of Ophthalmology, where she practices as a medical and surgical retina specialist at the Maisonneuve-Rosemont University Ophthalmology Centre. She is a member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. She initiated the development of Canadian guidelines for the screening and monitoring of DR and laid the groundwork for multi-institutional interdisciplinary collaborations in artificial intelligence for ophthalmology addressing DR and other major eye diseases.
