Biography

Carolina Cerezo is a board-certified pediatric gastroenterologist with a special interest in nutrition, particularly in areas such as intestinal failure, short gut syndrome, malnutrition, and childhood feeding problems. She completed her general pediatric residency at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore and later finished her fellowship in pediatric gastroenterology and nutrition at Brown University. Her research focuses on gastrointestinal issues related to childhood feeding disorders, functional gastrointestinal disorders, intestinal failure, and inflammatory bowel disease. Currently, Dr. Cerezo serves as the Chief of the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Nutrition & Liver Diseases at Hasbro Children's Hospital. She is also the director of the Hasbro Intestinal Rehabilitation Program and the medical director of the Pediatric GI Feeding Program at Hasbro Children's Hospital. In her academic role at Brown, she lectures and supervises medical students, residents, and fellows in both outpatient and inpatient clinical settings.
