Dr. Carolina Gomis Perez

Biography

Carolina Gomis Perez is an Associate Research Scientist at Yale School of Medicine, specializing in Cellular and Molecular Physiology. She holds a PhD in Cellular Physiology from the University of Siena, obtained in 2009, and has an MSc in Reproductive Technology from the University of Murcia (2005) as well as a BS in Biochemistry from the University of Miguel Hernandez (2004). Her research interests encompass a variety of topics in medical research, particularly focusing on B-Lymphocytes, biophysics, cell membrane dynamics, electrophysiology, endocytosis, exocytosis, and the study of liposomes and membrane lipids. Additionally, she employs optical tweezers to further investigate physiological processes at a cellular level. Gomis Perez has collaborated frequently with notable researchers within her field, contributing to various publications that highlight her expertise and the impact of her work in understanding fundamental cellular mechanisms.
