Dr. Carolina Gomis Perez

Biography

Carolina Gomis Perez is an Associate Research Scientist in the Department of Cellular & Molecular Physiology at Yale University. She earned her PhD in Cellular Physiology from the University of Siena in 2009. She also holds an MSc in Reproductive Technology from the University of Murcia (2005) and a BS in Biochemistry from the University of Miguel Hernandez (2004). Her research interests focus on various aspects of cellular physiology including B-Lymphocytes, biophysics, cell membrane dynamics, electrophysiology, endocytosis, exocytosis, liposomes, membrane lipids, and the use of optical tweezers in physiology. Carolina has collaborated extensively with several researchers in her field and has contributed significantly to the literature with numerous publications, garnering substantial citations. Her work is not only influential in the academic community but also holds substantial implications for understanding cellular processes in health and disease.
