Biography

Caroline Bissonnette is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Dentistry at the Université de Montréal. She specializes in oral medicine, with expertise in histopathology, radiological diagnosis, oral cancer, and oral premalignant lesions. Bissonnette has earned her Doctorate in Dentistry from the Université de Montréal, along with a multidisciplinary residency certificate in dentistry. She furthered her education with a Master's degree in science and additional certificates in oral and maxillofacial pathology from Ohio State University and Atrium Health. Her clinical activities focus on oral medicine, and she is affiliated with the Centre hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal (CHUM). In addition to her teaching role, she is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and holds diplomate status with the American Board of Oral Medicine and the American Board of Oral Maxillofacial Pathology. She is also a member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Oral Maxillofacial Pathology and the Canadian Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology and Oral Medicine.
