Biography

Caroline Black, MD, is a pediatric emergency medicine physician dedicated to the acute care management of pediatric emergencies ranging from simple viral and bacterial infections to complex medical and surgical emergencies such as appendicitis, obstructions, and orthopedic reductions. In her role, she provides swift and methodical care to patients aged from 0 to 21 years, supporting both the patients and their families during nerve-wracking visits. Dr. Black completed her pediatric residency at Connecticut Children's Medical Center in 2016 and then went on to complete a Pediatric Emergency Medicine fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital in 2019. Prior to joining Yale New Haven Health, she worked as an assistant professor at Hackensack University Medical Center.
