Caroline Knapp is an Associate Professor in Molecular Inorganic Chemistry at University College London. She has previously held the Ramsay Memorial Fellowship and a visiting position at the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology, funded by the Intermobility grant. Caroline obtained her MSci and PhD from UCL, with supervision from Professor Claire J. Carmalt. Her postdoctoral research was conducted under the guidance of Professor Phil P. Power FRS at the University of California, Davis, and Dr. Joachim Steinke at Imperial College London. Caroline's research primarily focuses on precursor design and its impact on material fabrication, particularly in the synthesis and characterization of highly air and moisture-sensitive compounds. Her lab is currently engaged in designing and isolating precursors for printing metals and expanding the field of main group organometallic synthesis with applications in photovoltaics, electrochemistry, and catalysis.
