Biography

Caroline Lytton is the Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer at the Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment. With over 20 years of experience in infrastructure and energy project finance, she has worked on some of the largest energy transactions in both conventional and renewable sectors, advising top energy companies worldwide. In 2021, Caroline was recognized for her contributions to wind energy and the energy transition sectors, appearing in the Energy Transition Power List and other prestigious rankings. Currently based in Oxford, she focuses on energy transition and sustainable finance, leading teams in capital markets and ESG advisory while developing significant internal policies. Caroline has also served on the board of the International Project Finance Association, contributing to diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives and acting as a member of Pexapark's Advisory Council. An accomplished speaker, she shares her expertise at various industry events, including those organized by Inspiratia and Reuters. Caroline holds an MPhys (Hons) from Somerville College, Oxford, where she also participated in athletics, earning Half Blues in gymnastics and lightweight rowing.
