Caroline Nettekoven is a DPhil student at the University of Oxford in the Department of Experimental Psychology. Her research investigates how regions of the human brain, particularly the cerebellum, support complex behaviors. She focuses on the cerebellum's causal role in cognitive functions and social processing, employing a combination of neuroimaging techniques such as fMRI and MRS, non-invasive brain stimulation methods like FUS and tDCS, and computational modeling to further understand cerebellar functions. Nettekoven's work aims to build a comprehensive cerebellar atlas, which supports precision mapping of functional regions through individual Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopic Imaging techniques that measure cerebellar neurochemicals. She has completed her postdoctoral training at the University of Cambridge and Western University in Canada, supported by the BrainsCAN Fellowship and a CIHR project grant. Nettekoven supervises research projects at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and welcomes inquiries from prospective PhD students.
