Dr. Carolyn Kaloostian

Biography

Carolyn Kaloostian, MD, MPH, graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles, with a Doctor of Medicine degree, an Executive Master of Public Health in Healthcare Management, and a Global Health Certificate. She completed her family medicine residency at USC-CHMC FM Residency from 2009 to 2012, followed by fellowships in Geriatrics at UCLA in 2013 and in Hospice and Palliative Medicine at Cedars-Sinai/VA in 2014. Dr. Kaloostian has a strong commitment to community service, advancing medical knowledge, and increasing access to preventive care. She has been actively involved with the Armenian Bone Marrow Registry and has served as vice-chair of the Resident-Fellow Committee at the American Medical Association from 2010 to 2012. Her research has been published in various peer-reviewed journals, addressing topics such as cognitive status in preoperative settings and the impact of nutrition on healthcare costs for outpatients. Dr. Kaloostian is fluent in multiple dialects of Armenian and is also well-versed in medical Spanish.
