Dr. Carolyn Mazure

Biography

Carolyn Mazure is the Norma Weinberg Spungen Joan Lebson Bildner Professor at Yale University and a leading researcher in Women's Health. She holds a Ph.D. from Penn State University, awarded in 1980. Professor Mazure directs Yale's research program on women's health, where she initiates and supports innovative studies aimed at translating research findings into practice. Her research primarily focuses on the development of models for understanding depression and addictive disorders, with a special emphasis on gender-based analyses. She contributes significantly to the field through her leadership role in Women's Health Research at Yale.
