Carolyn Sufrin, M.D., Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of Gynecology and Obstetrics at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and serves as the Associate Director of the Center for Medical Humanities and Social Medicine. Additionally, she directs the Advocacy Research on Reproductive Wellness for Incarcerated People program, focusing on NIH-funded research into pregnancy outcomes in correctional settings and the access to contraceptive care for incarcerated individuals. Sufrin is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and has served on the board of the National Commission on Correctional Health Care.
