Biography

Carolyn Wehler, MPH, is an Assistant Professor at the Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine in the Department of General Dentistry. She has extensive experience managing database research protocols, particularly within the VA Healthcare System. Carolyn is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Dental Hygienists’ Association, Massachusetts Dental Hygienists' Association, and the Massachusetts Coalition for Oral Health. She has published original articles, white papers, and training documents, contributing to the field of dental hygiene and education. Carolyn earned her Master of Public Health degree with concentrations in Epidemiology/Biostatistics and Health Services from Boston University and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of Vermont. She has been recognized as the Outstanding Dental Hygienist of the Year by the Massachusetts Dental Hygienists' Association in both 2006 and 2016. Carolyn remains engaged in mentoring students and collaborating on research projects.
