Dr. Carolynn Bruno

Biography

Carolynn Spera Bruno, PhD, APRN, CNS, FNP-C, is a Clinical Associate Professor and Associate Dean of Graduate Programs at NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing. She has held the position of Assistant Dean for MS Programs and teaches research evidence-based practice in the Master's and DNP programs. Her clinical practice focuses on advanced nursing care for cardiac patients, particularly in electrophysiology. Dr. Bruno has developed evidence-based practice scenarios for transitional care in atrial fibrillation and has been involved with the American Heart Association in various capacities. An internationally recognized speaker, she has presented on the role of family practice nurse practitioners in advanced nursing practice at Sapienza Universita di Roma. She has a rich background in clinical nursing and has held leadership roles in nursing education. Dr. Bruno's diverse research interests include cardiac care, oral anticoagulants, and health disparities, particularly in populations in remote areas.
