Dr. Carry Renders

Biography

Carry Renders is a Professor at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in the Department of Health Sciences, specializing in epidemiology with a focus on integrated community-based approaches and the prevention of overweight and obesity among children, adolescents, and families. He obtained his MSc from Radboud University Nijmegen in 1995 and has since been affiliated with various academic positions, including a managerial role at the National Knowledge Centre Overweight from 2002 to 2010. Renders has contributed to research on behavioral change determinants through methods such as epidemiological research, qualitative approaches, and participatory action research.
