Biography

Casey Faucon is a Visiting Associate Clinical Professor at Columbia Law School. He is the founding director of the Transactional Law Clinic at the University of Connecticut School of Law. His current research focuses on the commercial impacts of name, image, and likeness laws in college sports, exploring the normative implications of antitrust law theory. Faucon studies alternative legal practice models, including multidisciplinary practice models and non-lawyer investment in law firms. His prior research includes an interdisciplinary investigation into the regulation of domestic polygamy and polyamory, analyzing regulatory concepts, business entity rules, and contract methods. Faucon has been interviewed and quoted in numerous media outlets, including A&E Entertainment, Atlantic, Fox News, Salon, and Vice News. Before his current role, he served as an associate professor at the University of Alabama School of Law, where he founded and directed the Entrepreneurship & Nonprofit Clinic. He was previously a Whiting Clinical Fellow at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. Throughout his career, Professor Faucon has taught various law subjects, including Marital Property, and has practical experience as a litigation and transactional associate at Kean Miller LLP.
