Dr. Casey Myers

Biography

Casey Myers is a Senior Research Fellow in the School of Physics at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia. He has a background in theoretical quantum algorithms and quantum systems, with over 15 years of experience in the quantum technologies sector. His work focuses on the development of quantum algorithms and applications, particularly in relation to silicon quantum computing. Prior to his current position, he established and led a quantum computing program at the University of Melbourne. Casey has also worked in industries such as banking and geosciences, serving as a Senior Quantitative Analyst and Staff Geophysicist. His key research interests include machine learning applications in quantum computing and the theoretical aspects of quantum algorithm optimization. He has taught extensively at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, creating and coordinating various courses related to quantum computing and algorithms. Casey's contributions to the field have been recognized through numerous publications and his involvement in supervision of research focused on applying quantum machine learning to real-world problems.
