Biography

Catherine-Anne Miller is a faculty lecturer at the Ingram School of Nursing at McGill University, joining the full-time faculty in January 2017. She holds a Bachelor of Nursing from McGill University and a Master of Health Science in Health Promotion from the Dalla Lana School of Public Health, University of Toronto, where she completed graduate coursework in bioethics. Prior to her academic role, Catherine-Anne dedicated years to a neuroscience mission at the McGill University Health Centre, specifically as a clinical nurse specialist in the neuro-oncology program. She has also contributed to community health and global health, having served as a nursing consultant in Nepal from 2004 to 2005. In recognition of her efforts, she received the Award of Excellence from the Neuroscience Brain Tumor Foundation of Canada in 2015 and the Ingram School of Nursing's Award of Excellence in Preceptorship/Advising. Additionally, she was honored with the Professor of the Year Award by the Nursing Undergraduate Society in 2018 and 2019. Her teaching focuses on core ethics theory and clinical courses within the undergraduate program, with a particular emphasis on clinical reasoning and global health in the graduate program. Catherine-Anne is also a faculty advisor for McGill's interprofessional global health course.
