Dr. Catherine Althaus

Biography

Catherine Althaus is a distinguished professor at the UNSW Canberra School of Business and the Founding Director of the Academy of Adaptive Leadership at UNSW. She is also an Extraordinary Professor at the University of Pretoria and serves as an ANZSOG Distinguished Fellow, along with being an Honorary Fellow of the South Asian Network of Public Administration. Throughout her career, she has contributed significantly to public administration, focusing on intersectional practice scholarship that emphasizes leadership and policymaking in both Indigenous and non-Indigenous contexts. Althaus has been recognized for her award-winning academic achievements and as an executive coach and advisor. She has served as the Director of the School of Public Administration at the University of Victoria in British Columbia and contributed as an editor to the Australian Journal of Public Administration. Her teaching focuses on public administration and policy design practice.
