Biography

Professor Lindsay Anderson is the Chair of the Department of Biological and Environmental Engineering at Cornell University. She is an expert in energy system decarbonization, environmental systems engineering, and applied optimization decision science. She currently serves as the Interim Director of the Cornell Energy Systems Institute. Previous roles include serving as the Kathy Dwyer Marble Curt Marble Faculty Director for Energy at the Cornell Atkinson Center for Sustainability. She has received numerous awards for her contributions to energy systems optimization and excellence in teaching, making significant impacts in her field.
