Dr. Catherine Frost

Biography

Catherine Frost is a Professor of Political Science at McMaster University, where she specializes in political thought, history, political community, communications theory, and international theory. Her current research focuses on concepts of birth states in relation to international law, statehood, and state recognition. With an extensive academic background, Dr. Frost has also served as a Teaching Post-doctoral Fellow at McMaster University and held SSHRC Post-doctoral Fellowships at both McGill University and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Dr. Frost contributes to scholarly discussions related to her research interests, maintaining a keen engagement with the evolving narratives in political science. She holds a PhD in Political Theory from the University of Toronto, as well as a Master of Arts in Political Science from the same institution and an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Lakehead University. Dr. Frost's work aims to deepen the understanding of political frameworks and their real-world implications.
