Catherine Lawrence is a Professor in the Faculty of Life Sciences at the University of Manchester. In 2010, she became a lecturer and was promoted to senior lecturer in 2015, achieving the rank of Professor in 2024. Her current research interests focus on brain diseases, including stroke, Alzheimer’s disease, and vascular dementia, particularly the role of inflammation and comorbid conditions such as hypertension and diabetes in these diseases. Catherine is actively involved in research projects aimed at understanding these complex interactions and participates in various conferences and publications related to her field.
