Dr. Catherine Mann

Biography

Catherine Mann is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Medicine at Memorial University of Newfoundland. She has extensive training and experience in general and thoracic surgery. Mann completed her B.Sc. (Hons.) at Mount Allison University in 1988 and received her M.D. from Dalhousie Medical School in 1992. Following a rotating internship at Memorial University of Newfoundland, she completed her General Surgery Residency there in 1998. Her surgical training was further complemented by a Thoracic Surgery Fellowship at the University of British Columbia, culminating in a specialized fellowship in Minimally Invasive Thoracic Surgery at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle, Washington. Dr. Mann is actively involved in clinical practice, focusing on esophageal and mediastinal surgery. She is dedicated to advancing her field through education and professional development, contributing to the training of future medical professionals within her institution.
