Biography

Catherine Mansfield is a Senior Strategic Teaching Fellow in the Department of Life Sciences at Imperial College London, where she teaches a variety of undergraduate modules across Biochemistry and Biotechnology as well as Biological Sciences degree streams. She is involved in the ongoing review of the first- and second-year postgraduate curricula. With a background in plant developmental biology, Catherine has also worked with the widening participation charity Brilliant Club, contributing to initiatives aimed at increasing diversity in higher education. In addition to teaching cell and molecular biology, genetics, and mathematics related to plant biology, she serves as the Biochemistry Year 1 convenor and acts as a personal tutor for undergraduate students. Furthermore, she is a Mental Health Aider, emphasizing her commitment to student wellbeing.
