Biography

Catherine Ritz is a Clinical Associate Professor and Program Director for Curriculum & Teaching and World Language Education at Boston University's Wheelock College of Education & Human Development. Dr. Ritz's research interests include world language teacher development and programmatic leadership within educational settings. Dr. Ritz has been actively involved in the professional community, contributing her expertise as a presenter at national and regional conferences and consulting with school districts on curriculum design. She has served in leadership roles, including her tenure on the board of the Massachusetts Foreign Language Association and the Northeast Council of Teaching of Foreign Languages. In recognition of her contributions, she received the MaFLA Distinguished Service Award in 2022.
