Biography

Catherine Trask's education includes Occupational Hygiene from the University of British Columbia and previously Kinesiology from Simon Fraser University, both in Canada. After a period as a visiting researcher at the Centre for Load Injury Research at the University of Gävle, she spent a decade at the Canadian Centre for Health and Safety in Agriculture at the University of Saskatchewan as a professor and Canada's Research Chair in Load Ergonomics. Her research experience encompasses work exposure assessment, work injury epidemiology, and intervention evaluation. Current research interests include the health effects of discrimination in the workplace and adapting efforts to make ergonomics 'best practices' accessible to vulnerable or marginalized groups. She also serves as the program coordinator for the Master's Degree in Technology, Work, and Health.
