Biography

Catherine Tuleu is a UK-qualified French pharmacist and a Professor of Paediatric Pharmaceutics at University College London. She graduated from Université Paris V and obtained her PhD with distinction from Université Paris XI. After completing her postdoctoral fellowship at the Department of Pharmaceutics at The School of Pharmacy under Professor Michael Newton, she was appointed as a Lecturer in Chemistry Pharmaceutical Sciences at Kingston University. In January 2003, she returned to The School of Pharmacy as a Lecturer and later became the director of the Centre for Paediatric Pharmacy Research. Catherine has received numerous accolades, including the APS Award 2015 at the International PharmSci Conference and has been featured in the 2015 Medicine Maker magazine Power List for her influential contributions to drug development for children. She has been involved in several paediatric initiatives and serves as a technical expert on paediatric formulations. Additionally, she is the founder and chairperson of the European Paediatric Formulation Initiative (EuPFI) and offers consultancy services focusing on the palatability and patient-centric design of drugs. Catherine has a passion for improving paediatric therapeutics and lives in London with her husband and two children.
