Tze Che obtained a PhD in Earthquake Engineering from Universiti Sains Malaysia in 2020. Earlier, he completed his Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Earthquake Engineering in 2014. Tze Che has accumulated experience working as a Research Assistant and Research Officer on various research consultancy projects. He has extensive experience in structural engineering practice, having worked with a multinational engineering consultancy firm, contributing to the development of prominent projects in Malaysia. His expertise includes working on projects that require earthquake design analysis. Transitioning into academia in early 2024, he joined Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) as a Senior Lecturer, specializing in Earthquake Engineering and Structural Dynamics. Tze Che’s research interests encompass seismology, earthquake engineering, structural dynamic analysis, seismic assessment, structural design, and structural protection, repair, and rehabilitation. His work aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in education and sustainable engineering practices.
