Biography

Cathy Hume is an Associate Professor at the University of Bristol specializing in Medieval Literature. Hume's current research project focuses on biblical poetry in Middle English. Hume is actively involved in the Centre for Medieval Studies, exploring various themes within medieval literature, particularly focusing on the integration of cognitive aspects in readers' interpretations of narratives. Additionally, she is researching the medieval cultural history of the Somerset levels, with particular attention to King Alfred. Her publications include numerous articles and her work is prominent in the field of medieval studies and biblical literature.
