Cathy McIlwaine is a feminist geographer and Professor of Geography at King's College London, where she also serves as Vice Dean for Research in the Faculty of Social Sciences and Public Policy. As an academic leader, she has been an advisory board member and a trustee for multiple organizations focused on Latin American welfare. McIlwaine’s teaching covers gender development and migration, and she has extensive experience in supervising PhD candidates in related fields.
