Biography

Cathy McLellan is an Associate Professor at Queen's University in the Department of Medicine, specializing in interventional cardiology. She joined the Kingston General Hospital's Cardiology Division in 2003 and has been an influential figure in this field. Dr. McLellan served as the Chair of the Cardiology Division from 2017 to 2022 and was reappointed as Interim Division Chair effective December 2024. In her clinical role, she has been pivotal in the development and expansion of the Southeastern Ontario Regional Myocardial Infarction (MI) program and has directed the Cardiology postgraduate training program. She also held the position of Medical Director for the KHSC Cardiac Program from 2017 to 2020. Her contributions extend to her work as the clinical lead for Percutaneous Coronary Interventions.
