Catriona McMillan is a Reader in Medical Law and Ethics at the University of Edinburgh. In 2022, she was awarded the Royal Society of Edinburgh’s Dame Muriel Spark Medal. McMillan is the author of 'Human Embryo in vitro: Breaking Legal Stalemate' published by Cambridge University Press in 2021 and served as co-editor for 'The Cambridge Handbook of Health Research Regulation,' also published by Cambridge University Press in 2021. Additionally, she was the Deputy Director at the JK Mason Institute for Medicine and Life Sciences Law from 2021 to 2023 and served as the Convenor of the Law Society of Scotland's Health and Medical Law Committee.
