Biography

Catriona Seth is a distinguished academic in the Faculty of Medieval and Modern Languages. She holds the Marshal Foch Professorship of French Literature at the University of Oxford. Her extensive research interests span literature and cultural history, particularly focusing on the long 18th century. She has published a significant number of works, including anthologies, critical studies, and edited volumes that explore Enlightenment literature, the lives of women writers, and cultural studies. Some of her notable publications include 'Anthologie de la poésie française,' 'Les Rois aussi en mouraient,' and 'Madame de Staël, Œuvres.'
