Biography

Cauligi S. Raghavendra is a Professor in the Ming Hsieh Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Southern California. He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from UCLA in 1982. His academic career began at USC, where he held various positions from 1982 to 1992 and later served as the Boeing Chair Professor at Washington State University. He has also worked at Aerospace Corporation, leading significant research on high-performance networks and wireless communications. Raghavendra is recognized as an IEEE Fellow and has received the National Science Foundation Presidential Young Investigator Award. His research focuses on parallel distributed computing, computer networks, energy-efficient protocols, and wireless sensor networks.
