Biography

Cécile Aenishaenslin is a veterinarian and epidemiologist with a doctoral degree in Epidemiology from Université de Montréal. She specializes in the development and evaluation of interventions, programs, and policies that apply a One Health approach to the prevention and control of zoonotic diseases and antimicrobial resistance. Her research focuses on participatory approaches involving communities and policymakers, utilizing mixed methodologies that integrate both quantitative and qualitative techniques. Current projects include efforts to prevent Lyme disease, monitoring of antimicrobial resistance, and studying zoonoses in Arctic Canada. Aenishaenslin is actively involved in several research projects and has supervised numerous graduate students across various topics related to health and the environment. She co-founded the International Veterinary Group at the Université de Montréal, where she engages in research on zoonoses, animal health, and public health evaluations.
