Biography

Cecilia Jiye Lee earned a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from Yale University, specializing in Chronic Disease Epidemiology with concentrations in Public Health Modeling and Implementation Science. Before attending Yale, she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Health Sciences with Highest Honors and a minor in Chemistry from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. At Yale, Cecilia worked as a research assistant on the CDC-funded CHIPSTER project at the Yale School of Medicine. Her master’s thesis, titled 'Barriers and Facilitators of COVID-19 Vaccination Access for Older Adults: A Comprehensive Needs Assessment to Enhance Vaccination Strategies,' focused on improving vaccine access. This project was accepted for presentation at the Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America (SHEA) Spring 2025 Conference. Additionally, Cecilia served as Co-Chair for the 21st Annual Yale Healthcare Conference themed 'AI²: Shaping Health Integrity Intelligence' at the Yale School of Management. During her time at UIUC, she interned at the Center for Health, Aging, and Disability, where she supported community health tech initiatives and contributed to public-facing research, including conducting a systematic review of digital health interventions for chronic disease management and presenting her work at the Undergraduate Research Symposium.
