Biography

Cecilia Mascolo is a Full Professor of Mobile Systems in the Department of Computer Science and Technology at the University of Cambridge, UK. She is the mother of a teenage daughter and co-director of the Centre for Mobile, Wearable Systems and Augmented Intelligence. A recipient of the ERC Advanced Research Grant, she has been a faculty member at Cambridge since 2008, previously working at University College London. She holds a PhD from the University of Bologna. Her research interests encompass mobile systems, machine learning, and mobile health, where she investigates the application of machine learning methods and mobile sensing data to enhance health outcomes. Professor Mascolo teaches courses on Mobile Health at both the MPhil and Part II levels, as well as Mobile and Wearable Systems and Machine Learning.
