Biography

Cecilie Brandt Becker holds a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from the University of Copenhagen, obtained in 2016. She has spent five years in small animal general practice, focusing on diagnostics and medical surgical patients, particularly in exotics and cardiology. She established an echocardiographic service at her hospital unit and is part of the team in Special Pathology at the Institute of Veterinary Pathobiology (IVH) since 2021. Initially serving as a scientific assistant, she is now an ECVP resident in Veterinary Anatomical Pathology and a Ph.D. student in the PIG-PARADIGM project, which focuses on characterizing robust versus non-robust piglets concerning post-weaning diarrhea and identifying phenotypes that can reduce antibiotic use and antimicrobial resistance in Danish pig production.
