Biography

Cees Dekker is a distinguished university professor at Delft University of Technology and a member of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences. Trained as a solid-state physicist, he discovered novel electronic properties of carbon nanotubes in the 1990s. Cees Dekker has been recognized for his contributions to science through various awards and honors, including being knighted in the Order of the Netherlands Lion and receiving an ERC Advanced Grant.
