Biography

Céline Goulet's career is marked by a full commitment to the nursing profession, teaching, and communication, alongside the advancement of research and the prominence of the University of Montreal. Appointed as a professor in the Faculty of Nursing in 1980, she held the position of Associate Dean for undergraduate studies from 1993 to 1996, and then Dean from 2003 to 2007. Under her leadership, the research sector experienced significant growth and the Faculty introduced a competency-based nursing program. A member of the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences, Goulet also served as the Director of Nursing Research at the CHU Sainte-Justine Research Centre for seven years. The Nursing Faculty alumni association established an award in her name. She also received the 2008 Honorary Award from the Association of Canadian Schools of Nursing.
