Biography

Céline Vaneeckhaute is a professor at the Department of Chemical Engineering and holds the Canada Research Chair in Resource Recovery and Bioproduct Engineering. She leads the BioEngine research team focused on green process engineering and biorefineries, as well as the Water Research Centre at Laval University. Her work on recovering nutrients, energy, and water from waste materials and wastewater has earned her several awards, including the Quebec Science Young Scientist Award (2021), the Honoris Genius Award from the Order of Engineers of Quebec (2021), and the Young Leadership Award from the International Water Association (2022).
